Ways to consume Ahimsa ghee-

Ghee is like butter and can be used in a variety of dishes. It can be used for- frying, baking, and sautee. Stir fry veggies in ghee to make a healthy side dish or make some aromatic curries with ghee. It can also be consumed early morning on an empty stomach for clear skin, softer hair, stronger nails, and better digestion. It is an incredible cure for chronic constipation.

Ingredients 

  • One cup boiled green peas.

  • One whole onion.

  • One cup basmati rice.

  • 2-3 green chilies.

  • 2 tbsp ahimsa ghee.

  • Salt to taste.

Cooking instructions-

In a clay pot heat the ghee, keep flame on medium-high. You do not want the ghee to burn as it heats up quickly. Add sliced green chilies and thinly sliced onion and fry for 2-4mins. There should be a wonderful aroma. Add the raw rice and stir well. Add 2 cups of water and cover pot. Add peas after 10-15mins. Cover pot. Add salt to taste and garnish with fresh coriander. 

Serve hot with curry of your choice!
